Justine’s Journey 2025

In January decided not to have Rotator Cuff Surgery .  Went to PT and kept improving :). Then the Shingles showed up the end of May on my left side – PAINFUL !!!!!!!  Had the Shingles rash for about 2 months.  Went back to PT for Rotator Cuff till insurance ended in September .  Tis December and still have nerve pain, but the pain is a one :). Still doing my PT exercises and eating clean as can :). We are also trying to have no plastic that touches our food . Also changing to Cotton and Wool and Linen :). Improving and Thankful !

Food / Nutrition

When started my journey in 2018 had tried to change my nutrition :). Doug and I are going toward eating what God has made and staying away from what man has made . We have had the adventure of going sugar free :). We are mostly process free :). When can we eat organic :). Eat 100% grass fed meats 🙂 Finding what you put into your body affects your energy, how you fell, and just your health ! ! ! Reading food labels is HUGH . What has been fun is turning your favorite recipes into healthy ones :). We are a WONDER !!!!!!!

Exercise

When I started my journey in 2018 with LT360 I have tried to walk with not much success :(. When I started Ballroom Dancing with Doug had no idea how much energy and strength and balance was needed . After 4 years tis FUN :). Along the way have had injuries . Going through PT has strengthened me ! When I stared walking 1 year and 3/4 ago I was not getting anywhere fast . I do recommend starting slow and listening to your body sooo there is not injury ! Last week in mid February 2020 I am walking 3 miles an hour :). I also do resistance bands . From my Dear physical therapist Dr. Jen – if you feel pain – STOP ! Happy Moving 🙂

Rest Peaceful Rest

When I started on my journey in 2018 with LT360 I rested about 7 hours a night . It gook around 1 year and 3/4 to get back to that . The main reason was having to get up and go . I went from 15 times a night to 1 a night 🙂 I did not give rest a high enough billing ! I still find it a struggle to stop and get to bed and up around the same times . If I don’t there is a BIG difference in how clear my mind is, the energy I have and how grumpy I am 🙂

Water, Wonderful Water :)

WATER, WONDERFUL WATER 

Here we go on Justine’s Journey :). Think will start with the beverage til a few years ago I said NO thank you to… ! You guessed it, Water .  When I was growing up, a treat from my Mama Callie and Aunt Goldie was a Coke a Cola .  When I became an adult my choice was to drink ONLY Coke a Cola . Yes, for breakfast and lunch and dinner and any other time .  Started trying to go off Coke a Cola (10-18-2015) 🙂  Close to 9 months later I tried having water with lunch (7-28-2016) . I basically substituted Coke a Cola with juices. Started cutting back on juices 1-21-16. Went off orange and pineapple juices about 9 months later (10-17-2016) 🙂  I also tried drinking more water with homemade lemonade sweetened with honey for supper .  It wasn’t till around mid May 2018 that went to all water 🙂  This push happen when Doug and I started LT360 and needed to count calories .  As you can see just drinking water has been a struggle ! You would think having kidney stones twice would turn a light bulb on ?  Oh, when started drinking more water had to check out where bathrooms were !  When first started drinking just water, was getting up 15 times a night .    I am not “hydrated” by LT360 as still have more fat to lose .   Sooo much improved 🙂  LT360 suggest drinking 1/2 your weight in water 🙂  I drink 2 cups more as suggested by my doctor 🙂 Let me tell if you do not have a strategy for drinking your water time can slip by you .  I try and drink a bottle of water after breakfast and then after lunch and so on 🙂  Also have found if you finish drinking your water a couple of hours before bed you go less ! 🙂 Happy Hydrating 🙂
